On December 8th, we ventured to West Vet in Garden City, ID, about 35 miles from home to have a CERF exam. Mind you, this veterinary hospital is a "top-of-the-line, we-have-all-the-new-whistles-and-bells with all board certified in something vets" kind of place and you can only go there with a referral from your family vet or to have something special done. Well, wherever Ranger goes, a crowd seems to appear, even in places where cute is an everyday occurance. While we waited to go in for his exam, staff kept appearing to ooh and ah at him. Even once we were in an exam room, people kept coming in saying they had to see the puppy everyone in the office was talking about. Even the doctor, who even said she's seen a lot of cute dogs, couldn't stop gushing and took a couple of photos. Oh, and he was a perfect little gentleman during the whole exam.
The best part of this is he passed the exam with normal in both eyes.

Next on the agenda are the DNA tests for DM, coat (fluff) and color (E Locus). The kit has arrived. I just have to pick the right time to do the swabs.
